Is your diet important to your spiritual life? How does your diet influence you? Should you change your diet?
Here is a theory on the above:
Our bodies absorb everything that we consume. It discards everything it deems as excess and keeps what the body requires. What does it absorb? Does it absorb nutrition? Does it absorb toxins? Does it absorb emotions? Does it absorb energy? These questions are for you to evaluate. Consider the following: if you consume meat and the animal or bird was malnourished or full of toxins or experience great trauma during it’s life or death, what would be the consequences when your body absorbes the meat?
The intent of the questions raised is to put the focus on the chain reaction of a body being consumed by another and the transference on all levels. Some of you might think that the message is to stay away from eating the flesh of another. You’d be mistaken.
Stating the scenario differently. We are what we consume. A healthy diet leads to a healthier body. Other factors should be taken into consideration to make a healthy body such as lifestyle, thoughts, mind and more.
When the body is able to process what it consumes easily with little to no negative side effect, it is able to focus more energy on meditation, concentration and thoughts. Having a clear and strong focus, you will be able to reach deeper states in your mind which will assist you in reaching higher levels during meditation. These higher levels could assist you in making contact with the spiritual side or universal knowledge and much more.
This is not to be seen as a magical path to reach higher levels of enlightenment faster. All is revealed in due course when you are ready to grow to the next level. Showing your intent to have a pure body and mind will yield benefit to you in line with your intended growth.
Light, Life and Love of the God of my heart be with you all!
